1. can I get information before 30 days under RTI?

   I had a case which require urgent information from the local government hospital, but the admin officer is just sitting over and waiting for the time to pass of 30 days. Can I have the information before the 30 days? I mean under the law? has there been any inforcement in this? An early response will benefit a lot.

2. Land Patta Passbooks Andhra pradesh.

   Reason i am here. I have applied for patta passbooks for my land in my village it has been six months. MRO is not issueing the passbooks. I am in USA.My father is going around the MRO office for 6 months now.But still MRO keeps delaying. I am having trouble with MRO office getting my Land passbook from 6 months. 3. Land Records

   It seems Maharashtra is outdated in everything. Including giving information. A friend has unsucessfully been trying to obtain copies of land records and papers that belonged to his late grandfather. The grandfather died when my friend was a minor and his father did nothing to transfer the papers to his name. Now the problem is that those taluka (Shirur) and the village (Kauthe) in Pune jurisdiction officials are refusing to hand over those papers giving various excuses. Whenever my friend goes there, they do a disappearing act and despite the collector Mr. Deshmukh's intervention they are not shelling out those papers. Does the Maharashtra government want to grab…

5. CPIO did not sign the denial letter under RTI

   In one of the case, the applicant got the reply: The information asked by you is confidential and cannot be supplied. This is with the authority of the competent authority. When I asked weather the one who replied was CPIO, he said no! I want to ask weather the information asked to CPIO be signed by subordinate? And there was no mention as to why the information denied, I believe there there is no confidentiallity except for those coming under secnd schedule? A word of reply would be appreciated, as the person approached me for advice.

    Political parties had recieved donations fom American and Russion Intelligence Agencies during the Emergency of 1975. Can a PIO release that information or is it exempted because its more than 20 year old.

22. Can I ask for samples of building contract under RTI?

    I have another question: In my school building the Government granted contract to a local contractor, but daily I see that he is using bad cement in the construction and I believe that this will be really bad for the school. My question is can I ask for the sample of the cement being used by the contractor in the execution of the work under progress? Early reply will be appreciated, as the work of construction is going on very fast.

24. Are the Group C clerk responsible if RTI application got delayed at PIO office.

    My application got delayed and the officer was apparently not responsible but his office assist were. I learned that in RTI rule 20 only officers are liable for punishment under RTI. Then how those clerks can be held responsible? There should be a clause to fix the people below ACPIO too.

25. Postoffice refused to information

    I had asked for the information from the superintendent of Post Office about details of my registered letter which I had booked 3 years before, but he has refused to give the information saying that he cannot give that information. He has not written why he cannot give that information. Should I go for appeal?
