Your answer with more guidance is available in following link

And use rti ONLY after following government prescribed way to get as given in below link and if u not get than file complaint and persue all points in rti .

Points are below and government reply in link

But at least try to follow government process ON HOW TO GET THEN RTI

and site contains status of all such applications by way shown not of each one

Check in site how to apply and where it goes and how to ask in phone where to complaint where to inquire etc

You didn't read whole site content

Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department

Then also you can't find file rti if they don't tell you reasons in person also

Dear member, kindly file RTI application to the PIO of the concerned office where your application is pending for ration card to provide,

(1) Time limit as per citizen charter to dispose the application.

(2) Reasons from record for delay in issuing Ration Card.

(3) Information about with whom application is pending.

(4) Probable time period for issuing Ration Card.

Please read in RTI guide for format and mode of payment of prescribed fees and also state on TOP of Application, that information is required under Life and liberty clause and should be responded within 48 hours as per CIC decision. Send RTI Application by local speed post, and after one week file first appeal, after another one week, file appeal and complaint before TNIC.

I have just cited a well discussed decision from Hon.IC Madabhushi Sreedhar Acharya . You can see the entire decision in RTI news letter. (poor can only survive with subsidized rice and fuel. If they are stopped, it becomes a risk to their well being and this may be the opinion of Hon.IC.)

I am neither competent to state my opinions nor capable of interpreting Hon.IC decision as he worked as Professor in law before appointment to this post and is being considered as Authority in Constitutional Law in India.

My name is already there in my native place(Coimbatore, TN), in my dad's card and my husbands name is in his native (Tirupattur, TN). After wedding, we shifted to Chennai. Now, ration card officials say that - we have to get our names removed from our resp. natives and then only we can apply for a new card here. But in our native, they say it will take 2 months or more to remove and give a letter for that. And people say that we got to bribe or know somebody there, only then we can get it soon.

I want to know the exact procedure and how long it would take. The problem is, without ration cards, we can't gas cylinders now. We are managing with microwave oven and coil heaters.

      Please help.
