Petition to bring IBPS under RTI

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a self – regulatory organization responsible for conducting the various recruitment exams for Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, etc. in India. Over the years, IBPS has faced criticism for its unfair decisions and non – transparent working. In fact, recently candidates of the reserved category protested due to delay in job placement as their score cards were about to expire. Besides, the plight of such candidates never seems to end.

protest against IBPSIBPS is not answerable and hence easily gets its way. It is often non – responsive to the pleas and queries of candidates. The details of vacancies are also not declared until the last moment. The selection process is highly complex. Additionally, there has been a recent introduction of the 10% Reserve List. And then they have not issued the list of candidates who fall under it for recruitment. Is that not utter negligence on their part? How does such autocracy enter a democratic system!

So, in order to end this tyranny of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, an online petition is being signed to bring IBPS under the Right to Information Act. This is addressed to the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi. RTI is a strong tool that the common man can rely on. Hence, we hope that it will help change the scenario. Rather this is not a request that cannot be considered. Must not all organizations working under the government have a transparent nature? Surely RTI will bring in the transparency in the system. In fact it becomes a necessity when the matter concerns the future of the youth.

I require help on co-operative issue. I had filed the RTI with the PIO, Dy registrar of co-op societies seeking information on affairs of society.
The PIO has replied stating that the information I am seeking is available with co-operative society. My query is:
1] Can PIO direct an applicant to private body for information?
2] The society in question comes under the jurisdiction of the PIO, since PIO is public authority and co-operative society a private body, is it not duty of PIO to seek information from society and give it to me? How can PIO direct me back to society? This is RTI application, either I have to appeal or I have to forego. I cannot complaint against reply. So I want to approach FAA, under what grounds can I?
3] What kind of violation PIO has committed by directing me back to private society?
4] Does co-operative society come under the purview of RTI ACt?
Your views are appreciated. I am fighting lone battle with corrupt system.

Can the General Diary of the police station where particulars of "All the details in r/o criminals arrested and entry of arrival/departure of all enrolled police officers on duty with nature of their duties, duty performed and places visited etc."   are maintained be inspected and photo copies sought from a particular police station under RTI?
Is there any particular clause/section that needs to be quoted for inspection under RTI? Any format available for inspection under RTI?
