RAIPUR: In the corridors of power in BJP ruled Chhattisgarh, a whispering is on about the manner in which the state government is painstakingly defending a Culture and Archaeology department officer, who has been ousted by the High Court from his post after finding that he was not eligible to hold the position as per statutory provisions.

 

An RTI reply in possession with TOI has revealed that now the officer concerned P C Parakh is still continuing and drawing salary as curator even after the high court in October last year ousted him from the post of guide/senior guide, as on the date of absorption he was not eligible and qualified to hold as per statutory provisions. Allowing a writ of quo warranto, the High court had also held that since his initial appointment is bad his further promotion is also declared void.

It a matter of clear contempt of court. But when government wants to protect their employees no body will come forward to protest against the government.

There should be either shame or fear for authorities otherwise their inefficiency and compromising situation comes as their Public scrutiny.
