Present : Sh. Yogesh Mittal, the applicant in person.

i) Ms. Dimple Sharma, Assistant Registrar-cum-PIO ;

ii) Sh. Arun Singla, Advocate, on behalf of the respondent.

ORDER

This case was last heard on 07.03.2017.

The applicant, Sh. Yogesh Mittal, who appeared in person in today’s hearing, states that no information has been supplied to him by the respondent PIO so far. Ms. Dimple Sharma, Assistant Registrar-cum-PIO and Sh. Arun Singla, Advocate, who appeared on behalf of the respondent in today’s hearing, states that required and available information would be supplied to the applicant positively by the next date of hearing and seeks an adjournment in this case.

After examining the documents placed on record, it is found that compensation of Rs. 5000/- has not been paid to the applicant, which was awarded to him vide orders dated 20.01.2016.

Due to evasive attitude of the respondent PIO concerned, I am of the view that the compensation amount should be increased from Rs. 5000/- to 10,000/-.

The respondent PIO concerned is directed to pay compensation amount of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the applicant, Sh. Yogesh Mittal. The compensation shall be paid by public authority concerned by way of crossed cheque/Demand Draft in the name of Yogesh Mittal. The crossed cheque/Demand Draft shall be made from the bank account of public authority concerned and not from the individual official. The respondent PIO is also directed to produce a copy of the same in the Commission on the next date of hearing to establish the fact that order of the Commission has been complied with.

 

After examining the documents placed on record, it is also found that the concerned PIO has not filed his/her reply to show cause issued to him/her vide orders dated 07.03.2017.

Another opportunity is given to concerned PIO to file his/her reply to the show

cause issued to him/her vide orders dated 07.03.2017 by or on the next date of hearing.

The case is adjourned to 17th July, 2017(Monday) at 11:00 A. M.
