The link in our forum in such issues is being provided below.  Search website of Municipality/Corporation, locate Public information officer, format of application, mode of remitting fee and file the application following in the link by making suitable modifications.

That has to be decided by PIO.  Third party information is that information given to public authority which was given on fiduciary capacity or that information which may amount invasion on privacy of individual.

At no stretch of imagination, an open public record filed by owners before Municipality are personal information but they are public records.

Please do not quote every time, as so many quotes and simple clarifications make the query page Large when the matter is simple.   The query should get one or two replies, as members want reply immediately and can not go through all queries.

For example the post is about Illegal construction of building on government land or own land to know.

N ow you have hijacked the thread on Third party information, without raising in main post which is against the discipline of the forum.

Please carefully read as to what was offered as guidance.  I have not provided format and I have provided only the link.  The format has to be modified to suit requirements of public authority.

"Search website of Municipality/Corporation, locate Public information officer, format of application,"

A PIO can only reject the information under Sec.8 or Sec.9 of RTI Act exemptions. The contents part in information solicited is alone taken into such word count.  In case if anyone wants more information, the application must be split with each application not exceeding 150 words to avoid such rejection, as further correspondence is wastage of time.  Even those RTI applications should be given various dates and they may be sent in one envelope. Giving different dates helps us in follow up of that application.

Please do not quote each and every query, and always make your query occupy as less space as possible, raising one issue.  Value the space in the forum and time of the members. For a simple query, fresh issues are being raised after reply.

The best way forward is to file a fresh RTI application by limiting the words to 150 under the section "Description of Information Required"

Also, please note that you can not ask questions under RTI and seek answers from a PIO, but the correct way is to draft your queries in such a way that it points towards documents held by the public authority. For example:

Subject Matter of Information:

Toilet constructed in the area (describe exact the name and address of the location) (hereinafter called "the said toilet" for the sake of brevity).

Description of information Required:

Please provide a certified photocopy of the following documents:

1. A copy of the permission granted for building the said toilet

2. A copy of ....
