Filling case in court after the notice

Sir, is their any time limit to file the case in court after you have submitted the notice to defaulter, actually in 2012 one of my friend has sent notice to central govt office for failure to get the permission to start the sale after acceptance of tender and work order to my friend he has than a notice to this govt office through the lawyer, Now is their any limit time for it to file the case now in the court please assist..

The issue is concerned with Limitation Act.  The Act defines various steps involved from  the date of commencement of limitation .   Issuing notice through lawyer stating stipulated time also amounts to cause of action.  In case of Govt. one has to issue Notice under 80C, and then only it becomes a bonafide notice.  Contact any advocate for detailed legal steps.
