Neither the RTI Act nor any precedent prescribed the such number of times on which information can be solicited by a citizen from Public authorities.

If you have heard such a thing, you can seek such a supporting document from whom you have heard.  Go through RTI Act in your mother tongue.

If you want authentic confirmation file RTI Application to Nodal CPIO, DOPT, North Block, New Delhi with a postal order of Rs.10/- fvg Accounts officer, DOPT drawn on New Delhi and seek simple one sentence information as follows>

Information solicited:

1. Please provide me any copy of guideline or directive restricting the citizen to file a certain number of RTI Applications only in a year.
