Question

Hi all

i have been digging a lot and have not been able to get stats of the (reported) deaths of wild animals in india.

when i say reported, it could be a case of poaching, revenge kill by humans, a roadkill, death in territorial fight (part of nature), natural death (old age)

Why don't you try filing a RTI Application with the Ministry of Environment ?

1. You have to first only pay the application fee of Rs. 10.00 with your RTI application. Your application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for the Centre. these are available in the Guide segment of the portal: RTI Guide

Please also read the other articles in the Guide segment as well as the links given under the "All about RTI" icon/tab on the home page of the portal. These will be of help to you.

2. After you file the RTI Application, then the PIO will inform you if you have to pay any additional fees. These also have to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for the Centre - generally Rs. 2.00 per page of copy. Once he informs you, then only you have to pay him and get the information.

3. For how to submit a RTI Application, please read: How to submit a RTI Application - RTI Guide
