Question

ripu134

I have a question that who have the copy right on Maps of India and Its towns and villages. .

I got a reply ( seeking through RTI) from Survey of India that only Government of India have the copy right on Maps of India.

I asked as how the copy right is provided to India Map, Map of India

How we Indian tolerated defacing our national map by the above website.

I knocked evert TV news centers and print media but no one brought this vital fact to public and Government has not showen any interest.

What we can do.. advise.

Thanks Dr. Ripudaman Singh

Indian Government has no objections to the Chines capturing a large territory in Jammu and Kashmir, In Anurachal Pradesh, Sikkim etc. Indian Government has shut its eyes to the large part of the J&K under Pakistan. India don't mind the intrusion of the Chines in Indian Territory and built roads, rail lines, dams and what not. What is the sanctity of the lines drawn on the on a piece of paper for the Indian Government. They are Just busy in creating and not solving the inter state boundary disputes. Every Other day we hear such news. The Government do not have guts. It is am impotent government when it comes to international disputes/issues.

This all is happening because we do not have perfection in anything, neither do we have total expertise, not even in simple things. We do not change our age old methods. Our politicians r busy in vote banks. We r a nuclear power with bullock carts on the roads.

Our research council is proud to have a degree granting status whereas universities abroad develop new and innovative products.
