PARDEEP KUMAR RAPRIA
Pardeep Kumar, Advocate, is a practicing lawyer in Supreme Court, High Courts & other courts. He has done P.G. Diplomas in Intellectual Property Law and Cyber Law, from Indian Law Institute, Delhi, as a regular student. He has also done P.G. Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication.
Apart from his regular practice before the Supreme Court and other courts, he also provided legal consultancy to the Central Information Commission (an apex authority under the RTI Act), as its Advocate & Legal Consultant, from the year 2008 to 2012. During his attachment with the Central Information Commission, he had privilege to work as an Enquiry Officer in some important cases involving victimization and harassment of information seekers. He also assisted the Central Information Commission by providing assisting in drafting of judgments, drafting of Show Cause Notices, Legal Opinions, attending court matters etc.
In the year 2010, Mr. Pardeep Kumar also had a privilege to work as an Astt. Legal Consultant cum Prosecutor of National Investigation Agency (N.I.A.), a Central Counter Terrorism Law Enforcement Agency of India. During his tenure with N.I.A. he underwent high profile training on ‘Investigation’ at different institutions at CBI Forensic Lab, All India Medical Institute etc., where he learnt the skills to deal with the cases involving bomb blast, arms and ammunition, fake currency, terrorists etc. He also partially attended the Samjhauta Train Blast Case and Headley case. He also assisted the Senior Law Officer and lawyers before courts in different cases involving terrorists and provided assistance in drafting of N.I.A. Manual, drafting of the proposed amendments in NIA Act and The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
He is also the founder father of a civil society namely ‘Haryana Justice Platform’ working in the field of Right to Information law.
Mr. Rapria has also worked as an Advocate of a Trust headed by Shri KTS Tulsi, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India.
