abhijitvdabhekar posted a question in Ask for RTI Supportएक शहीद सैनिक के जान की कभी भी क्षतिपूर्ति नहीं हो सकती । फिर भी, शहीद सैनिकों के परिवारों के लिए किया हुआ ये एक छोटा सा प्रयास । A small effort for the families of martyred soldiers: Since last 2 years, I have been filing series of RTI applications related to Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for ensuring ex-Gratia etc. to families of martyred soldiers or soldiers declared as battle casualty from Central level. Also, filed different grievance applications for giving ex-Gratia to families of martyred soldiers from State level as required. Attached photo copies are just some of the responses received to the different applications. During above long process, responses and actions were taken by various departments like Ministry of Defense (Navy), Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW) MoD, IHQ of MoD (Army), Air Head Quarters and many Zilla Sainik Welfare Offices and many District Collector offices and also Mantralaya at state level. Note: The RTI applications were primarily around Indian Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). 1) Indian Armed Forces: This includes below 3 professional uniformed services: i] Indian Army, ii] Indian Navy, and iii] Indian Air Force. 2) Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF): This includes forces like: i] Border Security Force (BSF), ii] Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), iii] Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), iv] Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and v] Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). and others. Hope the world will reach to a civilization level wherein there won’t be any need of violence. उम्मीद है कि दुनिया एक दिन सभ्यता (civilization) के उस स्तर तक पहुंच जाएगी, जहां हिंसा या war की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं रह जायेगी । Abhijit Dabhekar.

Water leakage videos were shown in media on some of these dams. Even after media reports, the action was not taken to satisfactory level. The time-frame for the RTI was around January 2017. Looking at the safety of people residing in Pune district, it became very important that the necessary actions are taken in fixing the issues regarding Quality and Leakage issues with Water Dams. System for Online RTI in Maharashtra soon: While responding to my recent RTI application about making available online system for Right to Information Act Application in Maharashtra state, Public Information Officer Mr. T W Karpate from General Admin Dept of Maharashtra mentioned that the site for making online Right to Information Act Application will be made available soon. Please find attached the response to my RTI application in Jan 2014. Below are some points mentioned by K M Deshpande from Mantralaya office during my discussion with him about the site for making online RTI Application: Almost all aspects of the site for online RTI are complete. Only some part related to payment of RTI fees via various payment options is remaining. There are meetings going on about finalizing this aspect as well. Though the exact timeline is not told, it looks like the system shall be available by February 2014. Maharashtra government will be releasing a notification about the same once the system is fully functional and ready for use by people. While it feels a pain that Maharashtra tops in crimes against RTI activists in India, it will be really good if Maharashtra becomes the first state in India to provide online RTI. Note that India already has provision for ONLINE RTI at Central level. However, there seems no provision in states yet for making online Right to Information Act Application. We have been persistently following up with Maharashtra Mantralaya about the progress on ONLINE RTI system and its proper implementation. Let me know if you need any further information about this. Best Regards, Abhijit Dabhekar Place: Pune. Date: 21 January 2014.
