Hello to all, Dear friends, I filled an RTI before Assitant. Director and cpio of UIDAI on 14 January 2015 regarding non delivery of aadhaar card physically, it was enrolled on 22/02/2012. But till 14 January 2015 (almost three year) not received aadhaar card physically. However they transferred my rti on various dept of UIDAI, according to questions , but today I received some replies from one of the UIDAI logistics division. In the reply from UIDAI ... My Question was... Please provide me the present status of delivery (physically) of my enrollment no ****/*****/*** date 22/02/2012 16:00:31. Reply was …The Aadhar letter has already been dispatched on 16.08.2013 through First Class digitally franked mail service of Dept. of Posts for which no individual dispatch number of tracking facility is provided by the dept of Posts. The delivery of aadhar letter to the resident is being done by the dept. of posts and any information related to delivery of aadhar letter may be obtained from CPIO concerned of dept. of Posts. However the Aadhar letter is being reprinted and it will be dispatched soon after printing through the dept of posts as First Class digitally franked mail service of Dept. of Posts which is currently approved of dispatch. Now what I do?? Should I filled an RTI before CPIO Dept. of post or not or file first appeal to UIDAI, and if yes then on what basis I filled RTI before Dept. of posts because UIDAI not provided me any tracking no. so on what basis I filled RTI before Dept. of posts. As they said it is reprinted but it does not mean that they hide these types of mistakes, it a serious issue regarding a govt letter. However both are govt entities so it is the responsibility of Govt of India to provide aadhar card physically not eaadhaar for peoples of India. Reply of another ques regarding responsible of delay of aadhaar card and what action... they said the delay is occurred due to technical reason and delivery is done by dept of posts. i already checked the status of enrollment no from dept of post website but ans was " Sorry! we could not find Item Number in our System for this EID Number" Please help !!!! akash aggarwal
MANOJ B. PATEL posted a topic in RTI in MediaCitizens can use RuPay card for payment of fees to seek information under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. "Applicants can now pay the prescribed RTI fee or additional fee using their RuPay card also," an official in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said. A portal -- http://www.Rtionline.Gov.In -- was started in 2013 with an aim to help people exercise their right to seek information through online medium. An applicant is allowed to submit a fee of Rs 10, towards cost of information, via internet banking through SBI and its associated banks. People can also use credit or debit cards of Master or Visa for payment of the fee, he said. "But now RuPay card has also been included as the mode of payment. The facility has been made operational recently," he said. RuPay -- coined from two term, Rupee and Payment -- is an Indian version of credit or debit card. It has been launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) with a vision to allow all Indian banks and financial institutions in the country to participate in electronic payments. The Centre's flagship Right to Information Act, which was enacted in 2005, mandates timely response to citizen's request for government information. One has to pay a fee of Rs 10 for seeking information. The portal also help an RTI applicant and appellant to see the status of his application and appeal. The Centre has also started an online facility -- eIPO (electronic Indian Postal Order) -- for both Indian citizens and Non-Residential Indians to pay RTI fee to access governance related information.

We are basically from Asansol, West Bengal. Now in Gujarat. Now the thing is, my grandparents and my dad used to live at Chittaranjan Locomotive Works Colony, Chittaranjan, West Bengal. Since my dad was brought up there, he had his ration card over there. Even my birth place is chittaranjan, so my ration card existed at chittaranjan itself. We moved to gujarat in 1997. My dad tried to transfer the card to our native place, Asansol from Chittaranjan. But the ration card office guys at chittaranjan submitted the old ration cards and before issuing the N.O.C, they asked for the 'last ration purchase slip'. Thats one thing no one would preserve. And since untill then my uncle, my dad, my mom and my grandma used to live together. It was impossible to get that slip anyway. We didnt need the ration card that badly then. So decided to postpone the matter. Later on we moved to gujarat. Without solving the matter. Recently we asked a cousin brother of my dad to inquire about the stuff at the chittaranjan ration card office. If they can give the N.O.C for the cards. But the concerned authorities at the office rightaway stated that the card holders have already submited their respective cards and we are not supposed to keep the cards without issuing the N.O.C. Now my question is what should i do now? I need the ration card very badly. I want to get the N.O.C issued from chittaranjan so that i can get a new card here in gujarat. I dont have a driving licence, a bank a/c, a voter's id card, a pan card. please help me out.

sachdeva_sameer posted a topic in Discussions on RTIDear All, Greetings on the Fourth Anniversary of RTI Act ! As some of you may be aware that as person committed to the cause of e-Governance I had been contributing my thoughts and ideas at various forums, especially through the discussion forum india-egov. Off late I had been using the RTI Act extensively to gather information related to implementation of National e-Governance Plan. The purpose had been to monitor the NeGP from the citizens prospective and suggest course corrections where ever required. In my quest for seeking information on the NeGP, I had an extensive experience / exposure to the implementation of the RTI Act in India. Therefore I thought to document my experiences and prepare a Citizens Report Card on implementation of RTI Act in India. The sixty page report card in its original format was over 20 MB and therefore could not be shared through the e-mail. The compressed file is not in the same formatted form as original, however it catches the complete content of the citizens report card. (I have uploaded the file on the website rtiindia.org; but i am not sure if it is already uploaded) I request you to download the above report card and use it for your reference. I will be glad to share my first hand expereinces in any workshop / event on RTI Act as you may be organizing. I also request you to kindly share the above Report Card with the CPIOs / officials who in your opinion will benefit from it. Looking forward to your inputs / reactions / criticism on the above report card.
