shakeb ayaz posted a question in Ask for RTI SupportDear Sir, It is with reference to more money being asked by TOONSKOOL affiliated study centre AAG (Academy of Animation and Gaming) Noida, New Delhi for its Bsc (Animation) Course. It may be noted that in the KSOU prospectus which the students recieved for 2007-10 academic year, the fees for a year was written as Rs I LAKH ANNUALLY which included Rs 10,000 as the registration fees charged by your esteemed university. Now the study centre is saying that from Academic year 2008 the KSOU has revised its fees from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 and as such the students are being harassed to cough up the additional money. To prove its point the study centre has send a TOONSKOOL letter head matter in which it is stated that KSOU is responsible for the enhanced fees. As the students come from lower middle class background and sustaining their studies on bank loans it would be just impossible for them to manage the demanded money. The students are being threatened now and then by the college of expulsion if the fees is not being paid. Another important point, they have still not produced any KSOU document supporting the enhanced fees. Has the KSOU actually increased the fees if yes can I be mailed an official response from the university about the increment? Will it be proper for the university to raise the fees in the middle of the session? I will be eagerly waiting for a response from you through this RTI as future of scores of students is involved. I know many parents who will be unable to cough the additional amount. I shall be highly obliged and thankful for your kind reply in this regard. Thanking You, Sincere Thanks Shakeb Ayaz Sub-News Editor Press Trust of India (PTI) New Delhi
