It is surrounded by two colonies called "chiranjeev vihar" and "shastri Nagar", These both colonies are GDA authorized colony. But my colony "mahendra enclave" is not authorized, its an unauthorized colony. Here in my colony the drainage system is very bad, road are having pathetic condition, bad electricity supply. So my questions is can I use RTI for these problems in my city? Can i file RTI against GDA or Nagar Nigam? Regards, Ashok

Sunil_Gupta posted a question in Ask for RTI SupportHello frns.. I sought information regarding the assets of Uttar Pradesh Government in Dehra Dun (Capital of Uttarakhand) from the PIO to the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. The same was transferred by the PIO to the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand to the PIO of the Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh, for disposal. However, while transferring the RTI Application, the original PIO did not transfer the Postal Order towards the fees, to the other PIO, and instead deposited the same in the Uttarakhand State Treasury and informed the same to the other PIO. Now my query is whether this transfer is legal and is there any hidden/ other method of transfer of the requisite fees to the other state government or any other rule/law in this regard. Any views would be appreciated. Best regards.
Sunil_Gupta posted a question in Ask for RTI SupportThat the appellant had filed a FA before the District Court as FAA, for which he did not receive any notice for the hearing of the first appeal. Only on visiting the office of FAA repeatedly, the appellant gained the knowledge of FA being registered and was verbally informed that the date for hearing is fixed for 30/04/10. The appellant visited the office of FAA on 30/04/10 but was informed that since the reply from SPIO has not been received yet, the FA will now be heard on 03/05/10. Accordingly, the FA was heard and thereafter, 10/05/10 was fixed for order. However, the order sheet mentions 26/04/10 and 02/05/10 as the dates fixed. My queries are:- 1. Is it mandatory to issue notice for hearing of FA to the appellant 2. Are there any guidelines from the DOPT or orders of the IC in this respect 3. Should this issue be made a part of SA Any views & suggestions in this regard would be appreciated. Best Regards to all fellowmates.
