[h=1]Web traffic to government website topped on PM Narendra Modi's Madison Square Garden speech day[/h] NEW DELHI: Traffic to the Modi Government's showpiece website -- mygov.in -- hit an all-time high of nearly 10 lakh hits on the day Narendra Modi was on his maiden trip to USA as the Prime Minister last September and gave a rockstar address at the Madison Square Garden before meeting US President Barack Obama, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has revealed. The said website gets a daily average of 1.52 lakh views but it got the maximum page views of 9.82 lakh on September 29 last year, the PMO has revealed in response to a RTI application. Modi had introduced a web-link on pmindia.gov.in website where people can lodge their submissions, suggestions and grievances and the page contains two sections -- where people can write to the Prime Minister and the other for suggestions and ideas. "The latter takes you to mygov.in, a comprehensive platform that empowers each citizen to contribute towards nation building. Citizens can share their thoughts and ideas on a wide range of issues. MyGov has been initiated as a medium for public participation in governance. Hence it is configured to allow the maximum possible number of citizens to register and participate," the PMO said replying to a RTI application by activist Subhash Chandra Agrawal. Modi's decision for audit of NMCG welcomed VARANASI: The decision of Narendra Modi government for an audit of Rs 7,000 crores of National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), was welcomed by Ganga Mahasabha, an organisation working for the river. The organisation in 2012 had sought information under RTI Act regarding funds provided to NGRBA for the conservation and cleaning of the Ganga since 2009.
