In response to a RTI filed online with MLABE, redirected , to EPFO , H.O. , and then forwarded to Concerned Regional office . After a reminder to a JS at MLABE , the response from Deemed CPIO..........


Said establishment is exempted est. Member may contact to M/S xxxxxxCompany Trustee for PF related matter.


1 ) Are Exempted est. not filing details and record kept with the RPFC.

2) Contact with M/s xxxxxcompany has not yielded any result. Thus filed RTI.


Could someone enlighten. First appeal and grounds ? MLABE / EPFO ?


Any other suggestion ?

They have given you correct information....as per the records.


By using RTI you cannot force anyone or any department to take action against your grievance.

Can you please share the following information with the forum:


(1) The full form of abbreviation MLABE?


(2) What is the information that you had sought from MLABE?


(3) The exact response of the PIO (or deemed PIO as per you) who has transferred your RTI Application ?

If you feel that the PIO is indeed holding the information required by you, then RTI Act offers you three hierarchical levels to obtain that information, as follows:


File a RTI Application under section 6(1) with the concerned PIO,


Not obtained the required information,


File a First Appeal under section 19(1) with the concerned First Appellate Authority (FAA),


Still not obtained the required information,


File a Second Appeal under section 19(3) with the concerned Information Commission.
