I own a flat (since 2010 March) in my name in a building in Kolkata being managed by an unregistered association, by two of its flat residents as Secretary & Asst. Secretary. Though the association is unregistered but it has a savings account with the nearest SBI in the name of the building itself ("Axxxxx Apartment").
I wonder, how the bank could open a account for an unregistered association? Will the SBI let me know the details of constitution of the account holder, i.e. whether it is registered society/association, or a proprietary or partnership firm etc.[/TD]
