The Delhi High Court was Thursday informed by the city police that it cannot provide investigation material under the RTI Act, while challenging a CIC direction to make public forensic reports of a CD that purportedly contained a conversation among lawyer Shanti Bhushan and politicians Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav.

But nothing was stated by Delhi Police justifying the reasons as to how impede the investigation, in a closed case as 'not traceable".

Some PIOs may even without going into the whole matter may decide that Delhi High Court has decided the issue, that is only a normal pleading by any Public Authority to High Court, and to consider their pleading or not is left to discretion of the HC.
