RTI is the last option. First try to prevail and seek Patta through personal contacts and if all efforts fail just file RTI Application as per TN RTI Rules and regulations in format and fees and seek information as follows:

Information solicited:

1)Please provide time frame fixed for delivering Pattas of land from date of receipt of application for such pattras (Delivery of services under citizen Charter)

2)Please inform action taken for issuing patta of applicant......................from date of application till date.

3)Please inform the reasons for inordinate delay.

4)Please inform the name of the employee, designation and mobile no. with whom the application was pending for more than normal period.

5)Please inform the name of the higher authority to whom a written complaint can be filed for deliberate delay in issuing patta.

If you have applied for patta, and your patta application has been delayed, then you can file a RTI application to seek information on the 'action taken status' of your patta application.
