Pension Eligibility and PF amount withdrawal

I was maintaining my PF account in Bangalore EPFO from June 2001. The last working day with my previous company (in Bangalore) was 16-Aug-2012 (under Bangalore EPFO). Later I joined a company in Kochi(Trivandrum EPFO) on 02-Jan-2013 (after a gap of 4 ½ months). I worked there till 18-Dec-2014. All these are private firms.

The PF amount from Bangalore EPFO got transferred to Trivandrum EPFO this week.

I am 45 years now and currently do not have a job(for the last 2 months). Please let me know whether I can withdraw the PF amount fully. If I do so will I be eligible for pension?

If you are without a job, you can withdraw your PF but the only condition is that you will not be receiving exemption for that amount which you have shown in your returns for last five years. Contact your Auditor for tax liability and search EPF website for rules and regulations of Permanent withdrawal. You can also file application to EPFO Bangalore and seek copy of extract of laid down norms/stipulations/circulars giving information relating to permanent withdrawal in case of no employment.
