Sir,

 

A RTI question on the 1% reservation of jobs for the visually challenged to the PIO of a Government aided Minority Educational Society [which had advertised vacancies of Clerks in their Government aided Primary Schools and carried out the selection process] was replied by the Secretary of the Educational society as follows:- "There is no PIO in the office to reply to the questions".

What should be my next step?

Most of the replies from Government aided Minority Educational Institutions claim that the 1% job

reservation for visually challenged is not applicable to them. They have not identified any posts

for the visually challenged.

What does the law/rule say ?

Is the 1% quota applicable to such entities or not ?

 

First study the law/rule and then if you still come to the conclusion that they have to provide the 1% quota, file complaints with the authority which is supposed to implement that law/rule. If nothing happens, directly approach the court.

Minority educational institutions do not have to maintain reservation in employment or admissions for SCs, STs and OBCs as required to be done by other educational institutions.

if you have seen the GO relating to the said reservation , you please go through it again as there is no such provision to reserve quota for other minorities in the muslim institutions. there appears to be some confusion and you can open the relevant sites already shown above by RTI administrator for better guidance.
