clarification related to PhD

Hello,

My current apointment is Lecturer English, since I have done MCA from IGNOU, I could get enrolled for PhD in Computer Science, which is on the verse of completion. Is this accepted? or rather my management rejects my plea for PhD fee reimbursement saying that my PhD is not in the field of teaching/current appointment. Though I have taken prior approval from Board of management. Please guide as my career is at stake.

you have not done BED/MED to undertake teaching jov with a PG degree in relavant subject ie., english language main , and your MCA degreehas nothing to do with your teaching job and thus what the management has done appears right and you better consult your senior lecturer for better clarification.

Thank u sir for the reply, but I forgot to mention that I work in a polytechnic which has computer science department, so I feel that my expertise in the field could be used. In fact this was the whole reason for persuing PhD in computer Science. I strongly advocate multi talent and professional HR practice. I fail to understand the logic and intention behind not considering my higher study to be useful in my institution by the management. Please advice.
