rti happenings: Almost one case every two days: How everybody loves 66A in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, where a school student was arrested recently for posting alleged “objectionable” comments on Facebook against SP leader and minister Azam Khan, Section 66A has been invoked in at least 399 cases in the last two years.

These 399 cases are from 46 of the state’s 75 districts, according to information obtained by The Indian Express under the RTI Act. The remaining districts are still to respond.
