According to the RTI reply, the six vends along NH-8, which were closed down after the HC order, would have deposited Rs 14.68 crore in fee for this financial year. The 17 shops that were shifted from the highway would deposit Rs 29.25 crore in licence fee, an increase of Rs 3 crore from the Rs 26.25 crore collected last year. So the total licence fee collection from these 23 vends for 2015-16 would stand at Rs 29 crore, which is a loss of Rs 11 crore from last year.
