Information for helping disabled/poor/children begging on streets

Question

Hi all,

I am a new member in this forum, i am very glad that such a forum exists.

My purpose is to spread the information that can help the poor/disabled.

(Its a pity that while we live in comfort, fellow humans suffer on the streets without food, without shelter. )

I am looking for information about the schemes or programs offered by govt agencies targeted to help children begging on the streets, blind people begging on the streets and very poor people who sleep on the roadside without even a blanket. I have mentioned 3 examples,so that i can convey what kind of people i want to help.

So, i am looking for list of govt organizations involved in social welfare activities, and i need help about how to request information from them which can be helpful if spread among the poor.

Please share any ideas you have on this topic.

I hope your replies make this thread a useful one for people willing to help others.

Thanks in advance,

Bharath
