0 Moderators jps50 1,580 Posted June 24, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2015 You and other villagers can complain first to post master orally and then in writing with exact details of problems to superintendent of post offices of your district to ensure that post office of your village functions properly and efficiently. For a village you cannot ask for another post office because first post office is not working properly. You and other villagers including sarpanch etc should sign the complaint. You may send by registered post to Superintendent of Post Office [sPO]at District Head Quarters. If there is no improvement within a month, send a reminder to SPO. If still it does not work in a month use RTI [which you can file singly as one of the complainant] by referring: Long pending? : http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/jps50/69-any-thing-pending-govt.html https://app.box.com/s/hcuhkwein4m95jttabjd https://www.box.com/s/4a226fbd926cfe793bd4 Central Govt. application: http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/jps50/19-rti-application-central-govt-info.html https://app.box.com/s/0fti1wo0urndonb8d7x1 HOW TO FILE RTI: http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/jps50/93-how-make-rti-application-effective.html https://app.box.com/s/5n8e7xx2l2n48yt7hhy1 SPO is the CPIO under RTI Act and you may address RTI to him. Simultaneously, you can scale up the issue separately to Post Master General of your State by visiting http://www.indiapost.gov.in
0 Prasad GLN 1,761
Getting a new post office opened is most difficult now a days, as their business has come down, and they have brought down the recruitment. What exactly you require from Post office that can not be secured from other source ? Unless you have backing and support of your MP, you can not make things happen at central level. Collectively represent for atleast outsourcing the same to a village branch post master who is given consolidated pay and works as postman also and visits branch office nearby every day. You can contact Supdt of post offices, explain the difficulty and seek his guidance in getting postal service at your place.
