An RTI reply has revealed Karnataka has spent close to Rs 50 crores for Assembly sessions in Belagavi in the past five years. But the farmers in the state continue to lose their sleep as the recent spurt in suicides has indicated. The monsoon session had a stormy start with the opposition charging Siddaramaiah government of sheer apathy and neglect of farmers.
