KOLKATA: Police commissioner Surajit Kar Purkayastha has asked all divisional DCs to pull up their socks to recover illegal arms from various parts of the city. Earlier, he had expressed the need to recover illegal weapons after the force managed to recover only 12 such arms from 69 police station areas in May.

 

North division, which has several pockets from where criminals operate, had faltered the most in recovering illegal weapons. This has made cops to ask the detective department's anti-rowdy squad to play the role of a coordinator for recovering weapons. Read more at;
