Is Private Colleges covered under RTI

I would like to know the below queries which is very important/critical for me, please share your expertise views/suggestion with me :

 

1. Please let me know that is Private Colleges (running degree courses only like B.A, B.COM etc and Affiliated by Government University) covered under RTI ?

 

2. What is the procedure to get the information?

 

3. Is there any decision / ruling / judgment comes earlier regarding the same? if yes, please share the decision / order with me also.

Private colleges do not directly come under RTI but you can get their information by filing RTI application to District Education Office

It is mentioned in section 2 [h] who are the public authorities and RTI is applicable to public authorites only. Hence private entities are not directly covered by RTI.
