Can we ask the queries and put a limit to not answer in less than 300 Words or so?

Can we ask the queries and also ask them to answer it in not less than specific word limit to grasp more technical information related to subject specific. As we know common man is not apprised of such technical Info's and after asking the query gets an unsatisfactory reply from the PIO, as mostly the PIO's reply is vague and diplomatic.

I ask everyone to Please post replies to the thread to clear the doubts.

Your right as a citizen under RTI Act is only to seek information as available in material form alone and not to make demands / commands to PIO. You can not seek opinion etc and can not impose your conditions on any public authority.

Where as there was no stipulation or precedent, we can not guide you suitably.

In case if your receive such technical information, you can not handle, you can take expert advise, who is well versed in the matter, or confine to that information you exactly require and that information you are acquainted with authority.

In case the PIO reply is Vague and diplomatic, you have further two steps like first appeal and second appeal...in addition to seek information through another RTI Application the clarifications. PIO is under obligation to provide that information which is available as material record.

You can decide as you wish, and please do post the response of PIO as in the forum, we are receiving this type of query from any member.


Further, you can not impose " I ask everyone to please post replies to the thread to clear the doubts, as those members that prefer to guide can only post reply.

There was never a bar on any member to offer helping hand through guidance and all are welcome.  It is left to the member to select a reply / guidance suitable to him.
