Need help with Right to Service

Yes.  Each state Government and central Government has time frame for providing each service, and even collecting penalties for delay by employees.  Every Authority has to publish and display Citizen Charter stating the services being offered, fees prescribed, time frame fixed, and the officer to be contacted for delay in service.  A grievance can be posted in their on line portal which must be acknowledged within 48 hours, and entire grievance should be redressed maximum within a month.  Some state made enactments (Maharashtra, TN) and AP has kept it ready for implementation.

As per enactment each authority should designate a Grievance Officer, allocate minimum one day in a week for meeting grievance holders without appointment.

Please go through PGRMS guidelines in DOPT website and if possible purchase a book that provides all GOS/OMS and procedure for redressal of grievances.
