Minimum Pension EPFO status

Amidst Koshyari Committee recommendations, protests by Trade Unions and petitions ,Ministry of labour has not come up with an effective solution regarding  increase in minimum pension for employees affiliated to EPF to Rs 2000. Labout Minister has stated that consultation process has been initiated with Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) and Central Board of Trustees.

However the status of consultation process is unknown  and lakhs of pensioners are awating forincrease in minimum pension. Koshyari Committee report  recommended for payment of Rs 3,000 per month as minimum pension , besides that of a judgement of the Supreme Court asking for paying higher pension on actual salary.. Even a parliamentary panel had recently asked the
government to assess Employees’ Pension Scheme and consider revision of the minimum monthly pension, arguing that the existing social security benefit is too meagre to fulfil even the basic needs

I would like to seek information on status of consultation process initiated, action taken on Koshyari Committee report etc
