Inspection report of Yes Bank

Question

code88

I wanted the inspection report copy from RBI for the year 2017, 2018 and 2019 of Yes Bank.

The reply was as follows:

The requested information can not be disclosed at this stage in terms of Supreme Court Order dated December 18, 2019 in M.A. No. 2342/2019 in Transfer Case No. 91 of 2015 [RBI v. Jayantilal Mistry and Anr.] and Writ Petition (c) No. 1159 of 2019 [HDFC Bank and Others v. Union of India and Others].

Any suggestions?

Now you can seek such copy of that order, and find out as to whether SC really ordered against disclosure of such information.

First file fresh RTI and seek information as follows:

Applicatin dt.4th Jun,2020 seeking information under RTI Act

Before: Central Public Information Officer, DBOD, RBI, Fort, Mumbai

Fee: Postal order for Rs.10/- fvg.RBI payable at Mumbai.

Applicant:

Information solicited:   Please provide me the copy of the following with underlining at that specific sentences wherein SC laid a bar/exempted RBI in providing information REPORT  of  YESBANK 2017,2018,2019

"Supreme Court Order dated December 18, 2019 in M.A. No. 2342/2019 in Transfer Case No. 91 of 2015 [RBI v. Jayantilal Mistry and Anr.] and Writ Petition (c) No. 1159 of 2019 [HDFC Bank and Others v. Union of India and Others].

Applicant.

Before filing RTI Application copy and paste the bold italic in google searchand find out the judgment.   Read the judgment about such exemption.  If there is no such exemption, you can go for first appeal against CPIO denial stating that CPIO has provided misleading information that SC has exempted the information though there can be no exemptions for such an issue connected with larger public interest.
