There is no such maximum stipulation in RTI Act.

PIO has to inform the number of pages and calculation for the information solicited, (Normally Rs.2/- for A4 page) and on receipt of such demanded amount, irrespective of the volume such pages (Copies)are to be provided.

Please be specific as a normal response may not be having more than 10 pages.

Tender documents with such contract agreement papers are the only bulk load in general.

In those cases, ask them to come for inspection and select those preferred bills as bills are heavy and through personal inspection, the burden can be reduced.  But be very prompt in responding to such RTI and respond immediately, as they plan to obtain it free if the response exceeds 30 days.

@Prasad GLN thanks for replying , your expertise in RTI act is really appreciable.

Please guide us can we can RTI seeker women to be present personally at the time of appeal .

As I have mentioned earlier  a person claiming to be son requested to    provide details of deliveries by his mother 30 yrs back , we rejected his request under sec 8 1 (j). Now that lady requested to provide the details of her deliveries like no of deliveries , date and time of deliveries   which appears to be suspicious . perhaps  some other person used her name to get this information.

As the information may harm her  privacy and modesty can we call her to present personally in her first appeal. If yes under under which section of RTI.

Each and every citizen can seek information under RTI Act and has a right to be represented by a representative during appeal hearing.  For making appeal, personal presence is not necessary.

Anticipating such response, you have also been provided with a reply asking the lady to provide basic/fundamental information of date etc and ask her to inspect the records by bringing suitable ID documents.

Sorry, PIO can not ask any applicant to personally come for inspection, as every one may not be capable of going through documents, literate and has such knowledge.

Appeal can be filed through post and should be in writing.   There is no such thing as personally presenting first appeal.

Please confine query to the caption.  The caption is on No. of Pages--Now you have hijacked to some other topic insisting of appellant's presence during first appeal .  Issues are different and members get confused.
