IBA is just an Association of member banks, and a spokes person.  Their role is limited as spokesperson of the banks, and IBA is not empowered to exercise any control and at the most issue guidelines as circulars and can not issue directives.  I have not come across single instance wherein IBA's involvement was mentioned in recruitment policy of Indian Banks either PSU or Private Banks.  Many private members are not even members of IBA.  WIth regard to releasing of some benefits as per SC judgments in implementation date of BPS, weighted average for VRS, private banks never followed those SC judgment and IBA has only directed those banks to implement and avoid court cases by Retirees/pensioners.  None of the Private sector banks implemented the SC Judgment and those pensioners are still fighting these issues in lower courts even after SC Judgment and several pensions expired in the two decades.

IBA has clarified to CIC that their duty is advisory in nature and run on contribution by members and there are no controls over them by Government to evade RTI responsibilities and obtained a stay and to seek any information from IBA, this stay order issue became a 'Subjudice" issue.

Focus on getting better employment with a PSU bank without struggling  for employment in private bank.

Karnataka Bank being a private entity, you can not get such information under RTI Act.  RTI Act is only for getting information from public authorities.  A citizen can not demand any information from private entity.

Is there any certain regulations by IBA to private banks to make recruitments on category basis or the private banks can recruit anyone neglecting the categories sir ?
