aparna 29
The Right to Information Act has to be effectively utilized so that it will not only act as a deterrent but also empower citizens to bring to light any acts of corruption. In fact, non-governmental organizations and concerned groups of citizens can and should use the RTI Act to combat corruption in public life. Following is the text of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's keynote address at the conference of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and state anti-corruption bureaus on Friday:

Satish Gupta 27
Excellent suggestion that PM should hold periodic meetings with ICs and NGOs working on RTI. Anyone has suggestions how to ask PM to hold such meetings? Should we all send individual emails to his office? Should we draft a letter and have members sign it? Or some other way to accomplish this?
