I was working (around 9 yrs) for a Pvt Ltd IT company in Bangalore and was asked to leave due to recession. But since I didn't receive my settlement dues for more than 2 months, I threatened of legal action after which they sent me a settlement working sheet which had a deduction entry of around 80,000 mentioned as 'Other Deductions'. Since I don't have any dues to the company I asked for an explanation of such a deduction. The company is not willing to provide the information.
I wish to know whether this kind of information can be acquired under the RTI act or any other legal means.
