Dear Niranjani ji

Please read:http://www.bighelpers.org/forum/blogs/jps50/26-income-tax-refund-faq.html

You can file RTI application to check the status of ur refund.

Please refer to the blog (by Karira Sir): http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/karira/326-rti-application-pending-refund.html for a suggested format & details.

You have to follow Central Govt. RTI Rules for payment of fees.

For detailed information on how to draft & file an RTI application, please see the All About RTI links on the homepage & RTI Guide section of the portal.

Possibly this info will be of good help to you

regards

Hello all, I have a huge amount pending with IT department as my refund for the year 2007-08. When I recently visited the office (@ Karve Road, Pune) they said...

'You have selected ECS as mode of payment but ECS is not yet activated for Pune division. So you need to wait, till we receive some instructions from Delhi on this'

I am quite not sure what should be my next step? Should I wait for sometime or go ahead and file RTI? Anybody has same/similar experience? If so, would really appreciate if you could share them as well.

Thanks a lot in advance for all your time and support in this regard!

~ Rajan

Thanks a lot Ambrish. I really appreciate your time and support. I did check the content on the link/s above (as you said). But they don't seem to have relevant content/answers for my questions. Sorry if I have missed anything.

Now would like to check..am I all set for firing an RTI application ?

Thanks again !

Just send that RTI application and you will get a positive result - instructions or no instructions.
