vijaynaru 13
Now a days it has been observed that in case appallent asks for information which belongs to more PIOs then the PIOs transfers the application after 30 days . Can any one suggest how to cop with this new tactics adopted by them. Earlier they used to make copies of the applicaiton and transfers it within 5 days. I feel now a days they are transferring the applicaition in original after doing there own work.

Super Moderator karira 5,897 Posted July 17, 2010 Author Super Moderator Share Posted July 17, 2010 sir kindly clarify/guide1.on cic web site it states email ofapplicant will not be consider only information posted on line will be. the office of cic/sic of mumbai/ maharastra hardly access to mails, i have met the pa to commissioner the are not aware of mail id 2.the word message in any electronic form (dose it mean sms can be included) 3. the dopt circular is applicable across the country to all central/state or state further re modified it(delete some of its point) 1. That note on the CIC website is for filing Second Appeals and Complaints only. They have to accept RTI applications by email. However, you still have to use snail mail to pay the application fees. However, please note that like all Government offices, the CIC office and staff is also very class and caste driven - therefore the action they take depends a lot on who is the person at the other end. Some famous person sends something and action may be taken immediately. Some other person does it, nothing will ever happen. 2. Staff in Government offices (like CIC/SIC) are not very computer literate or internet savy. In fact, sometimes this can be blessing in disguise for applicants. 3. DoPT circulars are just that - "circulars". Normally they are marked to State Chief Secretaries of the Nodal departments responsible for RTI in those States. But hardly anyone pays any attention to them, leave alone implementing them. As I discovered once, even DoPT staff does not pay attention to its own circulars ! This is also a double edged sword that can be useful to applicants.
