Drop in Tiger Population

cheesecrackers23

Question

cheesecrackers23

I am researching on the current condition of our tiger population.

I would like to know which states in India have had the highest number of tiger deaths/killings in the past decade and places where poaching and illegal trade of animal parts continues.

I require these facts to be able to understand the situation deeper so that i may present them in school and with the support of students urge the govt to come out with policies to protect tigers and other animals as well as take strict action against those who break the laws against safeguarding animals and the environment.

Thank you

Yours faithfully

A concerned student

Why don't you file a RTI Application to the CPIO of Ministry of Environment and Forests ?

The details of the CPIO are available here: http://moef.nic.in/downloads/right-to-information/NOTIFICATION_17122009pdf.pdf

Your RTI application has to be as per the RTI Rules for the centre which are available in the Guide section of the portal: RTI Guide

Please read the articles in the Guide section as well as the links given under the "All about RTI" icon/tab on the home page of the portal. These will be helpful to you.

If you have further queries, please post them here.
