Municipal Corporation of Delhi giving me a runaround on application for land mutation

pixie0427

Question

I had filed a request for mutation of land in my name after purchase of a house. Am getting a royal runaround from the MCD, who have sent me requests for copies of property tax challans when - in their own online records - my property taxes are paid and up to date. Subtle signals are given that the job will get done if I grease palms - something I absolutely will not do. What's the best way to ask an RTI question on the status of my application (I have a copy signed and stamped on 28th July 2010)

Thanks in anticipation!

First send a reminder or two...and see the response.

Then follow the suggestion in this blog: http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/blogs/jps50/69-any-thing-pending-govt.html

Your RTI Application has to be filed with the PIO of MCD.

Details are available on the MCD website.

Your RTI Application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for the Centre.

These are available in the Guide section of the Portal: RTI Guide

Please read the other articles in the Guide section as well as the links given in the FAQ here: RTI FAQ

Also read the links on the home page: All about RTI links

These will be of help to you during the RTI process.
