Demand for Security & Protection : Human Rights for Whistle blowers.

Question

piklu1982

Indian Government has already passed the 'Whistleblowers Protection bill' on 9th August 2010, and the bill is officially known as the "Public Interest Disclosure and Protection to Persons Making the Disclosure Bill, 2010".

But the scope of the bill is limited only to the Government Offices and its Employees, hence the general mass of people will not be able to come forward and expose corruption in fear of life. In one hand we are being told to expose corruption and help the country but on the other hand we are being told to do that at our own risk.

We have RTI Act, supported Jan Lokpal Bill, so can we please have a discussion on this..?
