Dear all,

I had enrolled for aadhaar on 22nd April 2011 and made complaint for non receipt of the same. Even i had checked in the aadhaar status portal...still the same status and also called the help line number. The response was as usual "It is in process, we have forwarded your complaint to concerned department".

Kindly help me to file a RTI application with UIDAI and also provide me the CPIO details for Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Respected Sir,

Myself Roop Sarkar my father Mr. Bimanedranath Sarkar had enrolled for the Aadhar Card on

22/09/2011 at 15:27:02 with Enrollment No. 1189/21066/10160. But till date we have not

received the Aadhar Letter.

I have checked the status on https://portal.uidai.gov.in/ResidentPortal/statusLink over there

I am getting the message that Congratulations your Aadhar has been generated and your Aadhar

Letter will be delivered shortly. Then I have checked India Post tracking website i.e

http://services.ptcmysore.gov.in/Speednettracking/Track/UIDTrack.aspx I got the below status

AADHAR Card is despatched through Item Number: UC027798986IN. But till date have not received

the Aadhar Letter.

I have visited my nearby Post Office several times and have personally checked all the Aadhar

Letter lying over there but could not find the Aadhar Letter. I had visited the Superintendent of Post who is sitting at GPO Nashik but he could not solve my grievance. He directed me to visit Panchavati Post Office Nashik over there the Post behavior was very bad towards us. I have attached the screenshot of the information gathered by me through online tracking.

Now the Post Master says it is not their responsibility to despatch the Aadhar Card. He says

he not received the same. On portal I can see that it has been delivered.

Please let me know the next step. As no one is solving my grievance. And as a responsible

citizen of India I expect my father to receive the Aadhar Card. As we have followed all the

rule. But due to negligence on the part of Aadhar Letter issuing authority or Post Office we

have to face the hardship.

I have sent several emails on help@uidai.gov.in given on Aadhaar website but no satisfactory reply from them. I tried to reach Aadhaar authorities on 1-800-180-1947 or 1947 but the contact number is not working.

As we are knowing that by next year cash subsidy will be directly deposited to bank account so Aadhaar Card is of utmost importance. Please help us in Aadhaar Card for my father I think this is a basic right of citizens to get it. I am really frustrated by the behavior of Post Office Authorities and Aadhaar Authorities.

Would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks and Regards,

Roop Sarkar.

Your prblem can be short-listed to India Post .

So you have to persue the matter with Postal Authority .

But first you may contact the UIDAI here : http://uidai.gov.in/contact-us.html#ContactCenter

Give complete details and try to know at which Post Office the Card was booked for delivery to your father . Give the Art No. Once you have that , then you can file RTI Appl with PIO of relevant Postal Circle to get the delivery docket copy , status of the booked Article . Your fatther may file the RTI Appl or you may file it with no objection from him .

Another method is that your father or you as described above , may file RTI Appl with PIO , O/o Chief Postmaster, New Delhi HO, Ashoka Road New Delhi and seek status of Article and seek the copy of delivery docket . This is assuming that the Article was booked at New Delhi , HQ UIDAI .

Respected Dr. S. Malhotra,

Thanks for your suggestion.

I will take the necessary steps suggested by you. But for now I had contacted UIDAI Collection Center Mumbai and have got the problem sorted out by getting eaadhaar card. And as per UIDAI authority printout of the E-Aadhaar card will be acceptable to all govt and non govt agencies.

Thanks and Regards,

Roop Sarkar.

Hi Amar,

Thanks for the information. I have downloaded the eAadhar. But is it serve the same purpose? The problem is that I have applied for the card over 1.5 years ago and I have still not received the card.

I even tried mailing the complaint to "help@uidai.gov.in', but i guess they have placed an auto text reply. I got the same replies for two different queries.

Is there anything else that I can do to track/get my card?

Regards,

Parin Dharod.
