Hi Pranav,

Pls download the RTI form applicable to Maharashtra from here http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/attachments/ask-rti-query/414d1220457281-t-permit-rto-rti.doc

Paste a Rs.10/- court fee stamp, which you can get from a window at any of the courts or alternately from panwallah's, xerox shops in the vicinity of court, BMC offices, MMRDA etc but they will charge Rs.14 instead of Rs. 10.

Please take care that your queries should be in the form of seeking information and not seeking reasons or opinions.

Also please spend some time with the home page of this forum to increase your knowledge on RTI.

Pranav,

1. You need to file a RTI Application as per Maharashtra RTI Rules and fees.

These are available in the "Guide" section of this forum:

RTI Guide

2. For help in drafting a RTI Application, RTI Rules and Fees, How to submit, Mode of payment, etc., please read various articles in the Guide segment.

3. For details about the PIO in various RTO's in Mumbai, please see:

http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/3457-mumbai-rto.html

4. Details of the Transport Commissioner of Maharashtra State are available at:

Mahatransport.org - The official website of Transport Department Maharashtra State

They do not have any details of the PIO or the AA or any suo-motto disclosure under Sec 4 of the RTI Act.

When you are applying for the information your require, why don't you file another application asking:

1. If they have published details of the PIO/AA on their website.

If no, who is the Officer responsible for this lapse.

2. If they have made suo moto disclosure under Sec 4.

(A general application for Sec 4 suo-motto disclosure is available here:

http://www.rtiindia.org/forum/2310-proactive-disclosure-campaign-under-section-4-right-information-act.html - you can use it after suitable modification)
