FAA after district magistrate,

I filed an RTI to District magistrate for my pending arms license for 2 years. Please inform me that who is the FAA as I have not received answer from district magistrate , and will i have to attach postal order again in order to file first appeal?

Dear Member

 

a. You mean to say that you had file RTI application with PIO of DM for info on your arms license application.

 

b. You can file FA with DM (being senior officer to PIO) for NO reply.

 

c. No you dont need to pay any fee for filing FA as the case (RTI application) is with U.P Govt..

In Gujarat public relation officer at DM office are PIO. And DM himself is FAA.So one can make first appeal to DM.

I hope this means that my this application was addressed to APIO or PIO and I can now proceed considering DM as FAA?

Alternatively, you may address your appeal to F.A.A. through APIO/ PIO of public authority, requesting APIO/PIO to forward your first appeal to First Appeal Officer. PIO is obliged to help you.
